United Way Campaign Chairman

Dear Friends & Neighbors,

The other day I received a phone call from the Scioto County United Way office asking if I would consider being this year’s Campaign Chairman. My immediate thought was why did they think of me? I’m just a guy who works on the radio. Then I realized that is why they thought of me. In my job, I have the ability to communicate with a lot of people and get the word out about a lot of different things. So, it is with great honor that I have agreed to serve as this year’s United Way Campaign Chairman.

My job brings me into contact with a lot people and everyone has a story. It’s no secret that times are tough everywhere, but no tougher anywhere than in our own back yard. I’ve always supported United Way because I know it helps fund many different agencies in our area. Now the budgets at these agencies have been stretched to the limit by the increased demand for services. We’ve always done more with less here, but the situation is now critical.

That means your donation this year is extremely important. I have said this on the air at fundraising events before. If everybody listening gives a dollar, it’ll help. If those who can will give 5 or 10 dollars, we will solve the problem! When you put it in real terms, a $10 donation isn’t much, just a couple of days of brown bagging or bringing leftovers to heat in a microwave! And if you can give more, please do! We all do our part! Please give what you can because with all of us pulling together we can make the difference for our communities!

Humbly yours,

Keith “KC” Chatfield
